It started as home baked pastries catering to short orders within the town proper and then selling it to other municipalities during fiestas in the year 1999. Through words of mouth, people craved to have a taste of Baclayon’s homemade cookies. Thus, Tessie’s Sweets and Pastries was “baked”, so to speak. Because of the good returns, the products were distributed and were sold to any leading supermarkets in the province. The company continuously improves and develops in many aspects to support economic growth, especially the many wives and out-of-school youth in the town.
